A 23-year-old from Southampton received a 27-week prison sentence, deferred for one year, after admitting to reckless operation of a vehicle.

Officials stated that more than two hundred violations related to illegal car meets in the area have been handled in just over a year.

An officer commented: “Residents, drivers and our roads policing teams have had enough with these groups of motorists selfishly occupying public roads and car parks and we refuse to accept it.”
The officer continued: “They are not only a total disturbance, but they also put participants and innocent bystanders at danger of serious injury.”
