Ukraine has announced the start of mass production for an innovative locally engineered interceptor drone to reinforce its aerial protection systems. Three initial producers have begun production, with 11 more preparing to set up production lines, the defence ministry stated this past Friday.

Advanced 'Octopus' System Tested in Battlefield Situations

These UAVs utilize a domestically developed system called “Octopus” engineered to intercept Iranian-made drones. This technology underwent testing in combat and proved successful “during nighttime, under jamming and at low altitudes,” officials stated. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set a target of manufacturing as many as 1,000 defensive drones daily.

Latest Assault on Kyiv Described as Deliberate
