Devoted fans of the actress are urging that a individual who breached a barricade and touched the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A viral video shows the Australian man shoving aside photographers and lunging at Grande while the cast walked down a promenade flanked by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the event by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "let go after being detained", though official papers revealed that he was set to appear on the next day. It is not clear if he was charged.

History of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile features videos of him disrupting other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney show in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers event in the city last December.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is obviously a legal violation," commented an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user remarked.

Followers Show Disapproval Over Grande's Well-being

Numerous supporters blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the conclusion of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote a further response on Instagram.

Several fans also faulted security officers at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while others requested online networks to ban Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In videos circulating online, Grande appeared shocked when she was approached by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Hundreds of Singapore fans had waited to meet the cast of Wicked

Many of attendees had assembled in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore venue, including several who had stood in line for as long as eight hours before it began.

The motion picture, to be premiered on November 21, is the sequel of a dual interpretation of the acclaimed stage musical Wicked, which revolves around the surprising bond between two very different witches.

The show itself is a spin-off of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a rosé glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and scored ten Academy Award nods, securing several for outstanding attire and set decoration.
