Salah Issues Regret to Squad, Reveals Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has shared that Salah expressed regret to the team in the wake of the controversy from his televised remarks.

He was omitted from a key Champions League match following voicing frustrations and claiming his connection to the head coach had broken down.
“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I apologise.’”
Arne Slot has chosen not to comment publicly on whether he received a personal apology from the player.
Moving Forward
Jones insisted that the dressing room atmosphere remained positive. “He was the exact same Mo, his demeanour was positive and we all treated him normally,” Jones added.
He also implied that a competitor wanting to play is less of an issue. “I understand there are specific approaches you can handle situations,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just be on the bench, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”
Positive Results
Their results have been impressive in the period after the initial controversy. Jones believes the outburst were not intended to harm the team.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, the source has been from a good place,” Jones concluded. “That chapter is closed and we’re building chemistry, getting results and securing victories.”
