No league promotes equal footing as effectively as the NFL: it defines their identity. But through the first ten matchups during the current schedule, this doesn't represent a landscape that is equally balanced between the good, the bad and the mediocre. It’s one where most of the league are merely fine.

NFC Standings Definition

In the NFC, to some degree, we see clearer definition. The current division frontrunners at this stage: the Colts, Patriots, Broncos (each with 8-2 records) along with Pittsburgh (five wins, four losses). Take another look. No Chiefs presence. Indianapolis Outlook
