Football Analyst Chris Sutton Battles Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions

Arsenal's 10-game winning streak was ended by the Black Cats before the global hiatus, but can the Premier League frontrunners recover against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, against artificial intelligence, readers and a variety of guests.

In the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

The singer's latest album, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Soccer and Family Experiences

Murs is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of several charity football matches over time - but he is not planning a professional comeback as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a benefit game the other evening for a mate of mine," he explained. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my daughter or son decides to play instead."

The singer and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is ready to emulate his dad by becoming their coach.

"I won't push football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be coaching their weekend soccer team," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a period too.

"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three years and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's comeback from fitness issues but their offense is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this game will be quite tight, though. The Clarets are disciplined and their only home losses so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.

It suggests a 1-1 tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

Olly's prediction: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their past two games - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, the Hammers won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they do look competitive again.

The Hammers' sole away victory this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's coach.

So, what exactly do I go with here - can West Ham continuing their run under Nuno, or the home side bouncing back?

I am going to go with the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a blip.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

The guest's prediction: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the frontrunners for relegation before the season began, but they have surprised a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four matches.

A family member told me to select Brentford forward Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

The forward will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or back the away side at Amex Stadium.

They have not had much fortune on the travel this season, and the Seagulls are always strong at home. The visitors will try to attack on the counter-attack but I think the home manager's team carry much more of a danger.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

The singer's view: This could be a match where you think there is going to be a many goals but it actually turns out to be quite tight. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six games.

They have have lots of talent in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.

As for Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the top flight campaign so far.

Their performance in the 2-2 draw with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We have not seen any other team rough up the North London side like that this season, and they were more than a match for them.

The logical choice to do to back the visitors here, because they are obviously able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of last month.

But I am not going to do that. Instead, I truly need to continue opposing the away team with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good results because they evidently love to defy my predictions.

Looking at Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the sole side they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be extremely eager for a good result, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I know the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a poor run... but they have still been respectable at home this season. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard one to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but might they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
